What we make

  1. 01

    Stages & sets

Backdrops, stage fronts and walk-in photo sets for weddings, parties, festivals and shoots, framed, skinned, painted and installed on site.

  2. 02

    Illuminated signage

Marquee letters, halo-lit crests, neon-style banner signs and dimensional brand and school signs, wired and color-tested in the shop.

  3. 03

    Props & interactives

Oversized, hands-on pieces: kaleidoscope telescopes, an iris-lidded infinity mirror, Plinko boards, giant robots and ice thrones.

  4. 04

    Lighting & LED

Pixel-mapped LED built into the work itself: skylines, sunbursts, stained-glass windows and backlit resin panels.

  5. 05

    Installations & art

Freestanding structures and art pieces for festivals and private clients, from a desert chapel to a spiral slat wall.

  6. 06

    Design & engineering

Sketches, 3D models and shop drawings that turn a concept, or someone else's design package, into something we can build and install.

Studio

Abraca Lab is Rob Leifheit and Jeddin White, a fabrication team working out of a shop on Industrial Way in Los Angeles. We design and build stage sets, illuminated signs, interactive props and one-off installations: a chapel on the open desert, a backlit resin dragon, a spiral of wood slats, a holiday festival's worth of robots, thrones and gateways.

We take a project from sketch to install. Most jobs start as a drawing, a 3D model or a designer's package and leave the shop on a truck, with us riding along to put them up.

The work happens in-house: CNC routing and laser cutting, carpentry and welding, carved foam, cast and poured resin, scenic paint from faux ice to faux marble, and LED that's built into the piece and programmed, not added after. We like a brief with a little magic in it.
